A little about me…

Andrea Condara is a Houston-based multidisciplinary artist with an eye towards whimsical, textural and dreamy installations and home décor. After earning her BFA in studio art from the University of Texas at Austin, she spent 10 years gaining valuable experience in event planning and custom decorations for the holidays, designing and managing installation of custom finishes at Segreto Finishes and continued to produce artwork and commission pieces including a giant paper flower installation for the Houston Country Club debutante presentation. She currently creates sculptures, Holiday décor, site specific installations, paintings, interior decor, decorative finishes and murals. She cites inspiration from mythology, folk art, and found materials.

Condara showcases her plaster botanicals sculptures at the Round Top’s Antique Fair with Courtney Barton. In 2021, her decorative painting skills were highlighted in the Dallas Kipps Bay Showcase house for Houston Designer, Creative Tonic. Her mural work inspired by outsider art at Hotel Lulu’s Il Cuculo bar in Round Top, TX was noted in the New York Times “T” List, House Beautiful, Garden & Gun Magazine and more. She has collaborated with many Houston brands including Mr. Larkin and Courtney Barton, and Creative Tonic.

When not in the studio, Andrea enjoys fine dining, traveling, and hunting for treasures at antique markets.

Projects I dream of doing… creating a houseware/ décor and lighting  line, illustrating a children’s book or cook book, working on a whimsical bar or hotel to paint and create site specific botanical sculptures, completely hand painting a visionary house in the South of France ( or anywhere!)
